From Milan to Paris Fashion Week

Paris Fashion Week 2022

The highlights from MFW and schedule of Paris Fashion Week

With Milan Fashion Week (MFW) just over, it’s now time to head over to Paris, for one of the biggest fashion events of the year: Paris Fashion Week. All the big designer brands are ready to show their Spring/Summer 2023 collection.

The history of Prada

MFW 20-26 September 2022

Let’s start with taking a look back at Milan Fashion Week. There where shows from several big luxury brands, such as Gucci, Prada, Fendi, Versace, Bottega Veneta, Boss and Diesel.

Celebrities as models

This year a lot of celebrities where models for several brands. One of our fave was Paris Hilton for Versace. She walked the show in a Purple/Pink glitter dress with pink details, like a veil, gloves and pink colored pumps. We already seen the fantasy bridal looks at London Fashion week, but this one (in our opinion) the best look yet. Or maybe it’s just because we love Paris Hilton?

Another model (and show) that we absolutely loved was Kim Kardashian. Normally you will see her younger sister, Kendall Jenner, on the runway, but this year it was Kim Kardashian that was very involved in the show of Dolce & Gabbana. It was her first collection with the luxury brand, that also arranged the dresses for the wedding of Kourtney Kardashian. The show started with an audio of people screaming ‘We love you, Kim!’. Then a video called Ciao Kim, was played of Kim Kardashian eating Spaghetti, how Italian.

Our favourite fashion shows

We obviously loved the Dolce Gabanna show with Kim Kardashian, but another one we really need to mention is the Gucci show. Gucci used identical twins as models, that each walked on one side of the runway. Fun fact, 68 identical twins where secretly recruited as models. The clothes where very colourful with a lot of floral prints and reminded us of a more vintage 70’s trend.

Another show we thought was really cool, was the Boss show. A lot of Dutchies were invited to watch the show, such as Rianne Meijer and Juultje Tieleman. The coolest part for us was the motorbikes that crossed in a round cage. Boss really liked grey this season, as almost every look involved a stunning grey suit. Very stunning! #BeYourOwnBoss
